What to send before the appointment
Send the year, make, model, mileage, VIN if available, seller’s location, and any warning lights or disclosed problems. Ask the seller for permission to inspect the car and for available maintenance records. Confirm access, keys, and permission for any proposed road test.
The agreed scope depends on the model, its condition, and where it can be examined. Ask which systems and operating checks will be assessed. A visual check, a scan, and a more involved diagnostic test answer different questions; additional testing or disassembly is not automatically part of every inspection.
Mobile inspections: confirm the location and quote first
Sal can meet you at the vehicle by arrangement within a reasonable travel area. Share the exact address and parking conditions before coordinating the visit with the seller. Travel, fuel, distance, and time away from shop work can affect the quote.
A mobile visit cannot always provide the access or equipment needed to resolve every concern. If further shop testing is recommended, discuss that next step before proceeding. We do not publish a fixed inspection price or travel radius.
Know what an inspection can establish
A pre-purchase inspection informs your decision using the condition that can be observed and tested during the visit. It cannot guarantee future reliability, identify every hidden defect, or settle ownership and title questions.
